ADVENT and CHRISTMAS
Isaiah Bringing us Home to God for Christmas
The four weeks before Christmas is the season of Advent. Advent means “coming, arriving.” We are a people who wait for Jesus’ promised arriving back to earth. Our kin who first waited for his coming help us in our waiting. Isaiah, a prophet, a messenger of God, helps us actively prepare for our Savior’s birth in our lives. This time of year is filled with many emotions and activities; Isaiah brings us home to God, our Creator, Comforter, and Redeemer.
